On the BC Platform
What do your clients like about using BC?
Primarily our services are designed to serve the BC community. 90% of our customers are existing BC Partners - individual web designers, web design firms and media centers. Periodically we assist some of our clients in transitioning from other Content Management Systems to BC and to this day we haven’t heard any of our clients express any kind of regrets.
The most common motivating factors were: the all-in-one concept; BC's business model; the strong Partner community; and the promising future of the system considering the potential of Adobe's resources.

How is developing on BC different from your previous development process?
In contrast to that, with Business Catalyst we essentially trained our front-end developers in implementing BC and so that way they do 100% of the work. This allows us to eliminate redundant phase-to-phase transitions between developers, and it has also made it possible for us to significantly increase the speed and quality of our services. In addition, being a closed system, BC provides superior stability in comparison to open source solutions, especially when working with plug-ins that are developed by various vendors.
What are the strengths of BC compared to other systems?
Business Catalyst is a full-fledged system that provides a wide variety of built-in solutions that can all be accessed within one admin panel.
The main advantages of this system for us are its multi-functionality, usability and continuous dynamic development. We are strong advocates of the approach the Adobe team has chosen which is aimed at maintaining a close connection with their Partners in order to be current about any needs and the most urgent requirements.
We believe this kind of approach is foundational for the successful future of Business Catalyst as a CMS, since it is not detached from reality and at the same time remains convenient for new and proficient ideas, solutions and functionality to be developed.
On Being a BC Partner
What are your favorite aspects of the Partner Program, and why?
I would say we are a slightly unique kind of Partner, since we focus on developing Business Catalysts sites of any complexity for other Partners (free, standard or premium) in the community. We do not work with end-users that use Business Catalyst; therefore there are probably many Partner Program features we are not actually utilizing. I would however like to mention that BC has a vigorous and friendly Partner community and we are enjoying the privilege of being a member.
Looking back, how do you feel about your decision to become a BC Partner?
Before becoming a Partner we were basically “another vendor” that mostly does outsourcing for implementing mainstream Content Management Systems. Becoming a Partner and joining the BC community has shaped us into an enterprise with a vision and a determination to achieve the goals set before us. BC came through as a platform with opportunities for us to create our own unique products, services and tools.
How has BC helped you grow your design business?
It’s allowed us to do things not otherwise possible given time and budget constraints. It’s an amazingly powerful tool.
What makes EZ-BC different?
With Business Catalyst, Partners can offer their customers a product that is an attractive and powerful solution that stands out among competitors due to its innovative business model and the all-in-one concept.
By utilizing our products, services and tools, Partners are able to deliver high quality developed and manually tested sites of any complexity in very short time-frames while spending zero time on development.
